IMHO, David Cone earned his salary for last night and beyond with this little look inside the rosin issue. Wonder if Mad Max saw this and cringed.

    That was well done.

Also presents the issue that everything Scherzer did was with approved substances. So how does he get booted/suspended? And it’s still the one ump doing the booting.

I know our memories start to go as we age, but if you are already forgetting 2022....

I blanked on the word “bookbag” for five minutes yesterday.

    I’m 38.

This is going to be bad.

    1, Buccos are 16-7.

2, You have 20 bucks to spend on what Maggi'll do in his first MLB PA, age 33. Have to spent all $20 on one outcome.

Not thing about groundouts or fly outs? How about reaching first on catcher’s interference?

I’ll bet $20 Internet bucks on a groundout to second.

I did think about hitting into a triple play but forgot to include it.

You won't have to worry about No. 4. Looking at baseball-reference.com, the one season where he tried to "muscle up" -- 10 homers in Rochester -- his strikeout total ballooned. It isn't what he does.

When Jacobs Field was built, the Indians let people buy paver bricks with names engraved on them to commemorate the event. They were place around the Bob Feller Statue outside the right field entrance. About 10 years ago they were moved to the area between the stadium and the Cavs arena.

Apparently, I’m anticipation of the next remodel, the pavers are being removed. At least some already have been, with no fanfare. The team didn’t even reach out to the community to try and find a way to preserve and catalog them and give them back to the people whose names are on them.

Another dunderheaded PR move by the team.
