It struck me while listening to the Phillies broadcast last night, if you're not rooting for the Phils, Kruk would get on your nerves pretty damn quick. I'd go as far as to say he's as much a homer as Hawk Harrelson ever was.

That's disappointing. I kinda figured he'd be the kind of guy to say something sucked if something really did suck.

I've seen Chapman, Jansen and Kimbrel this week. None appear ready to be fitted for a rocking chair.

At some point, the Orioles aren't going to be able to complete these comebacks like they have been, but I'll ride the wave until then. 17 wins in April, franchise record. Second-best record in the AL. Somehow still 3 1/2 games out of first. Dammit Tampa.

Four best records in the American League right now:
    Tampa (21-5)
    Baltimore (17-8)
    Toronto (16-9)
    Yankees/Twins (15-11)

    The AL Beast remains ....

The Guardians relented and invited their fans to come pick up the pavers with names engraved om them that were installed 30 year ago around the Bob Feller statue, then later moved. The fans obliged. The line wrapped around the block from the media entrance beside the left-field gate to literally the corner of Carnegie and Ontatio.

My first thought was that this was about fans still salty about the name change. Glad it's not about that at all.

I feel so old that Jacobs Field is at the expected lifespan of a stadium. Still kinda feels new to me. Camden Yards is the same way to me. Both were so well-designed that I don’t think of them as 30-year old facilities.

    Old?

I saw my first Indians game at Lakefront / Municipal Stadium in 1963.
