Yeah, the initial clip looked like he was limping and perhaps it was a hip/leg issue. But when they said "forearm tightness," yeah, seems pretty bleak. He was smart to get as much as he could, and the Mets perhaps were smart to not go long-term.

Yeah, the Mets have no pitching and a kazillionaire owner and even they backed off.

Easton McGee looks really good so far in his Mariners debut: Nothing through 4 innings.

Of course Seattle’s offense with its usual effort, with no runs and 9 strikeouts over the first 5 innings in Toronto. For variety, they had their catcher get picked off at second base to end their best scoring chance.

Get used to this amount of run support, kid.

Toronto’s Matt Chapman ends the no-hitter, and McGee’s outing, with two outs in the 7th. Still one hell of a debut.

Probably telling you something you know already, but bet the overin both Padres-Giants games.

Aaaaand the Mariners lose after giving up their third hit of the game ... in the 10th ... for the only run of the game.

Eight homers thru five-plus innings in Mexico City. MLB is such a joke, playing regular season games in parks that make Coors Field look like Forbes Field.

Looks like the park has the dimensions of a place at sea level. A problem when the stadium is actually situated 7,400 feet above sea level.

Now 11 through seven. And they play again tomorrow. Can you imagine 81 games like this, if baseball ever expanded to Mexico City?

The Rays, no-hit through six innings, have, of course, taken the lead on the White Sox with a four-run seventh.

Make it 10. The White Sox have descended to a new level of atrocious.

    Yes. I typed too soon.
Somebody at Elias or elsewhere has to tell us if this is a record for most runs and hits in an inning by a team that entered the frame with no hits or runs.
