NY Post has a story. He’s recovering from a back injury.

In games like this, it's still fun to see who finishes on the mound for the loser.

That would be Mike Brousseau. If you had Mike Brousseau on your bingo card, you are a winner.

Going a bit further down that rabbit hole, preceding Brousseau on the mound was a guy named Gus Verland. His season thus far: a 9.82 ERA in Nashville (AAA), a 13.50 ERA in Wisconsin (high-A), and a promotion to the big club, where he has an 11.42 ERA in eight games, including nine earned runs in two-thirds of an inning last night.

    It makes one wonder.

No, you really don't. The case for Judge last season made perfect sense. That said, it better be a monster season like his to beat out Ohtani.

This is...spot on? What the fuck?! :D

Can't really argue Judge last year. Without his historic season, the Yankees probably miss the playoffs. But that type of season--at least in comparison to Ohtani--almost certainly ain't happening again this year.

This shit has become so tired.

And it's not just because with pitchcom, you're not going to steal signals that way. It's because anyone who ever played baseball for any length of time engaged in sign-stealing from the dugout. The pearl-clutchers have taken something players have done for 130 years and turned it into a heinous crime because the methods are now more advanced.

You're right. Getting real tired of reading shit grammar. And it's being repeated everywhere because people are just cutting and pasting the quote miswritten by a Blue Jays reporter.

    "Peaking."

I would have assumed it was severe injuries to both eyes and his judgement.

Peeking is what Judge was doing last night. Peaking is what Judge did last season.

    Frank: Tell me I'm right.

Fletch: You're right, but you're very peaked.
