If the talk I'll be having Wednesday goes well, I might have a big decision to make in the next week. The only thing that would hold me back is money, but I still would probably make it happen somehow.

Taken by a second-year student photographer at Alabama with 5 minutes to go in the 2005 UA/UT game. Fumble gave Alabama the ball on the 20, leading to a game-winning field goal to preserve Alabama's (then) undefeated record.

    This came shortly thereafter:

Today was one of the first days in a long time where my trigger finger lagged. That, and my Nikon D-100 is really starting to feel its age. I've taken upward of 600,000 shots on it, and it's just not as fast to the automatic focus as it should be. Frustrating.

Great shot. And I respectfully disagree about the background. The powerlines might be a little distracting, but those kids in the background - especially the kid in the red hat - absolutely make the shot.

I agree, I like that shot a lot. I like the kids looking in the background. Interesting angle...but it works for me. Good job.

The top one suffers mightily from a lack of a catchlight in her shadow eye. Getting just enough light in there to reflect off the eyeball is critical to a good portrait.
