This is no award winner by any means, but I love it for "the moment" in relation to many moments within the game. New Hampshire QB is in the early stage of getting jackhammered by the right defensive end, but still follows through with a 45-yard bomb to the wheel-routing receiver, who catches the ball at the 15 and makes his move into the end zone for a 60-yard scoring play. The QB threw for 232 and 3 TDs, and also kicked the winning 27-yard FG with :03 to play in the game for a 23-20 win over Vermont.

 

Thanks, Xan ... believe it or not, that was a sunrise, not a sunset. It was our second day there and the first morning outside of Bangkok. At that point, we pretty much all agreed this was the coolest place we'd ever been.

 

Here's another "moment" shot that isn't by any means an award winner, but cool compositionally because it looks like there's no way in hell that the kid (unseen) could've gotten this shot off from 25 yards and scored, with No. 3 charging hard for a slide-tackle. But the unseen middie pumped a winner to the left corner.

 

Got this at a golf tournament today. Not award-winning, but a solid golf shot, IMHO.

 

Maybe it's a cliche, but I always like the sand-spray shots in golf.

 

Took this with a Nikon Coolpix 3 years ago. Put camera in the helmet and basically did my best to focus and click to get the effect of looking through the facemask. Was lede shot for football preview edition.
