And BTW, I love this thread. I'm always looking to ways to improve my shooting. And I like to see others' work.

 

Nice shot of the pitcher, but the tree is so distracting

 

Our reproduction would kill that version of the photo.
Muddy-ass cheap newsprint.

 

And that cropped-out player isn't addressing that kid, I'm assuming.

 

Between innings today in an American Legion game ...

 

Yeah, there's a local gym with a balcony that surrounds the court, and looks down over it, so the overhead shots are sweet when you get them.

 

I'm going to try to link a couple...let's see how this one works...

 

Anyone what to help me understand why I can't get the pic to show up...?


Nothing is there...I added the spaces to show the formatting I'm using (it doesn't show up otherwise..)

 

Thanks for the compliment. That photo ran a month ago, but the kid's dad must have just seen it. He fired me off an e-mail and wanted to know where he could buy a copy.
Unfortunately for me, I don't get any extra cash for readers buying my pics.
While I don't aspire to be a photog, when I worked at a daily in Pa. I always made it a point to ask the photogs what made a good picture. They were nationally acclaimed guys and I loved hearing them tell me what was good and what wasn't.
Unfortunately for the people I cover, I now root for them to end up in the junk every time.
