Tight shorts? Obviously, you've never seen the league's uniforms.

  2. What was it like covering the Lynx in those days and you think the Lynx will ever be a legiitimate WNBA team?

I am amazed the Lynx have been able to survive considering they have been hideous for years.

It would be nice if that team started winning one day.

    WNBA BABY!
    I LOVE IT!

    seriously

  4. Chuck: Of course, you would. The Shock have been one of the best franchises in that league. Fun to watch too.

Like I said earlier in this thread, I was there for their first championship against the Sparks. The Palace was absoloutely electric. One of the best sporting experiences I've ever been apart of.

I'll give them this...as long as they keep Swin Cash busy playing basketball, we don't have to listen to her talking about it.

    :D ;D
God is she terrible. A really really nice person(she's always hanging around during the piston games and giving autographs), but she needs to stick to playin' bball.

The WNBA is as exciting to watch as paint dry or grass grow. It's amazing how many empty seats one can pick out at their games on TV.

Without the NBA and its marketing largesse, the league will shrivel and die quicker than the XFL did. All of the franchises moving and folding does not bode well for the league's future.

I put a season preview in Sunday's edition and we'll consign them to 8 inches of briefs where they belong.

By the way, I love that WNBA form letter. Hilarious stuff.

I still think this league is very important. It actually gives girls a goal. Now you have girls saying "When I grow up, I wanna play for the WNBA". Before the WNBA, girls would go play overseas after college. Now they have their own league and I think it's great.

I mean, you realize that practically every WNBA player still goes overseas because that's where the real money is, right?

Some of them coach at the college level, but HH's right. Most of the women make a living by playing overseas in the offseason. The average WNBA salary's about $40,000 a season . . .
