Yet they were the only ones who fucked up the pizza challenge, right?

    Yep. Oops.

Well, they nailed the hello, goodbye challenge.

They were calling them "the evil gays" and seemed to be playful about it; unlike the righteous women's team a few years back who were pretty bigoted in their attacks on the gay couple they were competing against.

In Atlanta, the gays call themselves the gays. It's not a big deal.

I don't think that would have sunk them anyway. I think the hardest part of that challenge would have been to find the addresses. Since they knew where they were going, I would think that they lost that much time having to redeliver to the last two addresses.

I was more annoyed by them constantly going on about how Brent/Josh (good god I still can't remember which is which. Between them and the Chippendales, I was so confused) was faking his injury and shrieking it to the other teams. Calm your shit.

Also, this is the final two legs. There are no alliances anymore. Why are you following people?! RUN YOUR OWN DAMN RACE. It's one thing to stick together the first few legs and travel in packs (or like Ryan/Abbie and the Beekmans when they were so far behind because of flights) but at this point, I wouldn't be wanting to get into a speed race with a team. I'd rather run my own race and risk my chances rather than blindly following other people and hoping that they know where they're going. Especially when you're racing for the final three.

I wouldn't say they were undeserving, because they won, but the Beekmans are the most unlikely victors ever.

They benefited from some good luck and misfortune of other teams, most notably the lost passports.

I wonder if any other team has won the race without winning a leg. The Beekmans are the Oakland A's of "The Amazing Race," never leading until the final day.

I didn't like that last leg when they really took off with the "evil gays" thing. That part bothered me. But I guess it takes evil to see perceived evil in someone else.

    It's happened twice before:
Eric and Danielle on the first All-Stars edition (TAR 11)
Kisha and Jen on the second All-Stars edition (TAR 18)

    It also happ
I believe it also happened the season where the Cowboys got second to the brothers, (one of whom was gay, which is coincidence, not irony/crossthread).
DVR'ed the entire season, just finished it. The Beekmans were very nice people and I am happy for them. That being said, wow. Never seen a team catch so many breaks. (1. lost a leg but it was non-elim, 2. missed a connection but so did Abbie/Ryan and 3. James/Abba lost passport, 4. 4 hour penalty but Abbie/Ryan had more airport trouble plus 5. twinnies pull off brilliant move with double U-Turn which keeps them in the game, then 6. should have lost at final 4 but twinnies get lost leaving the mushroom cave.....sheesh). But, when there are no great teams (and this year, there weren't) then you really just have to hang around and win one leg.
Frankly, the two best teams were Abbie/Ryan (who I couldn't stand) and James/Abba. I was hoping Chippendales would win, they seemed like nice guys.

It didn't start out that way, but at the end, I sure was rooting for the Chippendales.
