My boy Bates and his brother definitely have an edge physically. Bates became a workout warrior as his NHL career went on, particularly in his latter years with the Whalercanes, and it showed as they almost sprinted up that snow-covered hill.

EXACTLY. If I'm going on TAR, I'm in the gym 5 days a week, getting my endurance up, packing one those backpacks with everything I'm taking with me and running around with it for a week beforehand.

I'm really glad that they instituted the rule where you can only do so many Roadblocks to prevent one teammate from completely carrying the other.

I'm shocked at how well my team is doing. I don't expect it to last...they seem way more interested in flirting with the hockey brothers rather than running the race. And here's a clue: ALWAYS get your own set of directions, never just follow someone blindly through a foreign city.

Loved the little snippets of history and the trippy museum.

The question to get into the club...I only knew the answer because of this:

At this point, the pool no longer matters. TV has it locked up.

I was actually wondering if anyone could conceivably catch up.

Not without a couple more non-elimination legs. :(

So, how much of Berlin is as trippy as what they showed last night? That's some really weird crap.

I'm glad it was a nonelimination leg. I didn't want to see the hockey players or the derby moms go yet. I want to see those two teams and the country singers as the final three - they all seem like good people. The other two teams are annoying as hell.

Haggis or 100-pound whiskey barrels? Um, how about 4-hour penalty?

I would have had to tag-team the barrels with someone else, like Meghan and Joey did.

I think the motto of this week is never assume that you have the best flight.

    Haggis is delicious.
