My I just say, this episode reminded me of getting stuck in a tree in a canoe at 4-H camp. I have no idea what I would have done if my raft had fallen apart in the middle of the river, though, so props to Brendan for putting it back together. (And I guess props to Rachel for freaking out.)

Kind of unfair to Luke and Margie to have one of the two options be based on hearing, no?

Completely agree. Was that even an option? Could they have done the mixing challenge? (BTW that bartending thing looked HARD. I never would have even tried.)

Nope, not at all. You buy your ticket, you take your chances.

Maybe the producers are as fed up with him as the viewers are.

    Oh, bullshit.

A height challenge for someone who's afraid of heights? Overcome it. Drive a stick when you don't know how? Your fault.

But making a challenge about hearing and repeating a sound when one of your contestants is deaf, basically taking away their choice to change challenges, is bullshit.

I have mixed feelings on this one, although I'm sure much of my lack of sympathy is driven by the fact that I can't stand Luke and his constant whining.

I get that other problems with challenges like swimming or driving a shift or involving heights are things that can be learned or overcome so are in a different class than a challenge requiring hearing. However, there was a choice of challenges and many, if not most, of the teams chose the bar challenge and successfully completed it. It's not like it was a choice of hearing challenge or impossible to complete challenge.

There are challenges where there isn't a choice that are going to be tough for teams that aren't physically strong or for other reasons that can't be changed, like Charla or Amy.

BTW, I got very tired of my team using being Mormon as an excuse for sucking at the challenge.

"We are just two ol' Mormons from Salt Lake City" vs. "Luke's whining" vs "the Afghanimals" vs "Brenchel" makes it a really hard season to watch.

If it wasn't for the cowboys and the globetrotters, I think we might have given up at home.

I will say that Rachel seems to sanded down the rough edges with some powerful drugs. She's not nearly as annoying as she was before.

I wasn't bothered by the "two Mormons from Salt Lake City" line since Dave didn't say as a whine but as a joke.

I'd be OK with them winning. But I'm still rooting for the cowboys.

It would have been OK if they had only used the line once.

The cowboys are awesome. The globetrotters make me laugh.

Part of me wonders if the second usage might have been spurred by the production staff because they thought it was a good line.
