Here was the thought I had: the producers bring you to an orphanage and ask you to donate your money. It's the end of the leg. There's no way you wouldn't get a significant amount of cash in your envelope here in two seconds because they're expecting you to not have anything. This isn't the TAR of old, where they would purposely strip you of your money or only give you $1 on the next leg.

I think I read an article where they interviewed a TAR location scout and when they went out to discuss with potential sites, one thing that they mentioned was the potential for increased tourism revenue. I would think that it would greatly increase tourism revenue. I want to go take a flight over Victoria Falls and follow a lion around in the bush.

UCR has to be proud of the track girls for their acumen.

Lots of hate comments on TAR's Facebook about the lion walk.

And I was kinda hoping the bungee would break for the paparazzi...

Here was the thought I had: This was one of the coolest episodes of TAR I think I've ever seen.

I wanted to do every single task on it. And that's even though I think I'd be terrified of the zip-line/bungee-jump combo...

The only thing that interrupted it, jarringly, of course, was the paparazzi team's cheap-skated-ness.

Good lord, the TAR producers might be trying to kill these teams. I gotta think that we're due for a non-elimination leg.

    France needs some more-frequent trains.

It's always (to me) boring when they go from a less-popular location (like in Africa) to someplace that you see everywhere (Paris). I think going to the really popular tourist-y destinations make for boring episodes.

I'm sure there's more than a few of us here who wouldn't have needed to look for clues on that plane ride at all.

I agree, Wenders. I had the sense all episode that at least a few of those teams were just dying to reach the pit stop and desperately glad when they'd thought they'd reached it, just so that they could stop for a few hours...but no such luck.

That said, I might not have even made it to that point. I'm not at all sure I would've been able to do that bungee jump. I hate heights and get vertigo up there anyway, and can't imagine being able to jump and let myself drop from that level.

I also thought the judging must have been much harsher on the Alabama team's rap attempts than on those of the other teams that chose that task. I mean, the Alabama team was on its 15th attempt when the show ended with a "to be continued" message, and I didn't think they sounded much different (or worse) than the other long-gone teams.

Liking this season but I am hoping that there are not too many more challenges where teams have to wait their turn. The bungee, the sling shot jump, the lion walk...I would rather see racing challenges instead of no skill touristy stops.

My old boss' ex-wife did that Victoria Falls bungee jump. I told her she was out of her fucking mind.

Yeah...I mean, I'm a history buff and everything, but I would have been able to see one, get the whole thing, and probably translate it from French to English so I wouldn't butcher the French. :p

I would have 100% hurled on either road block. I do not like going upside down. They would have had zero problems hearing me shriek on the ground.

I loved The Netherlands. It's beautiful, and I now want to go there. I could even picture myself camping out in one of those windmills as "a pit stop." Or even, renovating and living in one. :)

I also loved the looks of the Peace Palace, and would like to see that.

I hated that Justin and Diana ended up in first place again, and that Cindy and Rick were eliminated.

A-Let's all learn that Amsterdam and Rotterdam are not the same city. Please? Also, does anyone know how to pronounce The Hague on this show?!
B-I was rooting hardcore for the cheerleaders to take first. They nailed that double-dutch detour (as we knew they would).
C-Justin needs to SLOW HIS DAMN ROLL. I hate more than anything the person not doing the Road Block, sitting on the sidelines and bitching about how they're behind. YOU DON'T THINK THE PERSON DOING IT KNOWS?! But if he wasn't such an arrogant a-hole, people wouldn't hate him as much.

At the beginning of the leg, it seemed like it alluded to the teams who elected to run instead of take a taxi to the first destination, that I thought that would count for something. Maybe down the road?

Oy. They've announced the cast for the next season. More stunt casting and I think it's clearly aimed to try to bring in a younger demographic. If you're like me, most of these, you're probably going to say "who??" to.
