Agree with this 100 percent, I really have idea what kind of "brand" these people are trying to promote. You can make a living doing dumb shit online? Some people on here should be very wealthy by now LOL

Some of them probably are pretty wealthy. If you watch reality TV, you start to realize that the people featured in or hosting it, and those who are contestants in it, usually are not just average, everyday-Joe people. Almost all of them are wealthy, and that is how they can take all the time they do to join/commit to shows that are often pretty long-running.

Not all of the contestants fit that mold, though.

Burnie and Ashley, for instance, are part of a prominent production company. Burns starred in and co-wrote a crowd-funded movie called Lazer Team and is one of the founders of Rooster Teeth. The company started with a web series called Red vs. Blue, which uses the multiplayer modes of the video game Halo to portray a science fiction story. They didn't create the concept of machinima but they certainly helped popularize it. The company now has a number of other projects, ranging from other fictional series and shorts to gaming-centric videos.

Some of the Vine and YouTube people are a bit more creative, too. So I don't think it's just a cast of people known for doing stupid shit online and filming it.

Everyone gets prize money. Second and third place get enough to help subsidize your income if you had to take unpaid vacation from work. From there down, it gets a significantly lower:
    What do second-place finishers win?

For two smart guys, Darius and Coleman are really dumb.

Also, with my years of softball/skee-ball experience, I would have rocked the throwing challenge.

I'm a terrible person because I laughed out loud when my team bragged of their cornhole skills.

I wanted to but Huggy Jr. was watching and I didn't really feel like explaining it.

Okay, seriously, models: you're in the Race to try to stay. WHY ARE YOU JUST JOGGING THROUGH THE TRAIN STATION?! If I'm them, I'm running like hell to make that train, not just meandering through the station, trying to get on it. Also, I realize that they got there late and everyone had already teamed up and they thought that was ~unfair~ or whatever but it seemed like she spent a lot of time whining that no one wanted to help her. Put that energy into finishing the task at hand as quickly as possible.

I don't even know. I wasn't exactly sympathetic to their plight, since I didn't see them really fighting.

Also, anyone else think it was awesome that teams got to make a Swiss army knife and then keep it?! (I bought an awesome Swiss army knife when I was in Switzerland as a teenager. It was a special fishing one. We've now moved about 3-4 times and it's probably somewhere in my parents' garage, but I don't know where.)

Interesting race to the pit stop though. Excited to see more racing through the Alps.

I figured right away that the teams at the UN were looking at a map of where the flags were. I don't know why it took them so long.

With my team out, I'm pulling for Burnie and Ashley. They get along well and seem to be enjoying the experience.

Same. I thought they were either looking at the actual map or that it would be on a plaque somewhere around the actual flagpole. I'm sure the producers thought that it would have been fairly obvious too. I wonder how much facepalm'ing was going on in the edit bay.
