Yes, you are 100 percent right. If money was on the ground, yeah probably no penalty. That is why I asked if I missed something. Just to counter your point though, for the sake of discussion, should maybe something have been done because the twins clearly knew who's money it was and they tried to split it with the Texas couple? This isn't like they found the answer to a clue that they shared, this was money they reasonably knew belonged to the rockers that they then shared to quiet their consciences and to give another team a possible unfair leg up on the rockers. If the money is straight up lost, the rockers are at a disadvantage they created for themselves. If the money is dropped on the ground, and another team finds it and keeps it, it was TS for the rockers and lucky for the twins. But to pick up lost money, figure out who's it was and then give some to another team to keep quiet about the whole thing doesn't sit well with me. I honestly don't know which way to go.

Wasn't there a speed bump a few seasons back where the team had to sit in some sort of portable sauna for 10 minutes?

YES! But they actually had to go to the sauna, so it wasn't like these speed bumps where it's right there next to the clue box or anything. I also remember there was a speed bump where they were at the Ice Hotel in Sweden and had to sit on an ice chair for five minutes. And it was apparently a lot harder than it sounds.

Abbie and Ryan earned back a lot of my respect by making a pact to stick with the Beekman boys and then actually sticking to it at the pool.

I just knew this was going to be a to be continued leg. I think it was in Russia a few years ago where the mother-son team got out of their cab and they left their Amazing Fanny Pack with their passports in it. The passports were actually turned in to the American consulate the next day. Crossing my fingers that they get everything figured out. You have to figure that they probably have at least 8-9 hours to get it figured out before the two other teams are close to being done.

Detour would have been a no-brainer for me this week. I used to work in a library and I can't swim. Have any of these people never used a card catalog?

Debating between watching this and Dexter before work. Might flip a coin.

If Dexter wins, will do scoring tonight.

That was a brilliant move by the Texas twosome to treat the library search as symbols vs. letters. They really deserved to win that leg.

And, I'm wondering if the show's producers carry backup paperwork for all the contestants in case of a lost passport. While a lost passport DQs a team, it certainly would help when it comes to getting them out of said country and back to the U.S.

Plus, I imagine that the producers contact the U.S. embassy in each country before the show even starts, and contact them again when staff, then contestants, arrive.

A lost passport is fairly easy to replace, happens all the time and not really that big of a deal. I know for show puposes it is a big deal but in real life, not so much.

When we visited Moscow, I lost my visa, which was inside my passport.
Our guide freaked out and wrote a long letter to give to officials to make sure I could get out of the country, but the immigration worker glanced at it briefly and let me go without any problem.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy watching Ryan struggle when he was so cocky. :)

THIS. He's all, "Yeah, I'm going to finish this in about two minutes!" No, that was the Beekman boy who did that.

Amazing Race tasks like this are almost never as straight-forward as they seem. I would have been all over that one and the Russian leaders one, because I'm a nerd.
