The Amazing Race -- All-Purpose Thread

I’m not sure, were Akbar & Shari Division I athletes? I think he may have mentioned it.

I may have the honor of being the first eliminated not once, not twice, but thrice in the history of this fun competition. I wear that badge with pride.
Glad Shari finished before the clouds really rolled in, what would have happened if the weather turned and they were still on the mountain? I'm sure they're trained to do emergency rescues but it was so narrow not sure how they get to her, her guide and the camera crew.

 

I should have used the blue font. He's mentioned that they were Division I athletes at least once every episode.

 

I think this was good for the singing cops. You lose first round in the Amazing Race once and you feel bad and wonder about all the things you could have done differently and curse your bad luck.

You get last place twice in your only two opportunities or the Amazing Race? Well at least you know it wasn’t bad luck or any one small thing that can torture you.

You just really suck at the Amazing Race.

 

I was proud of Sheri that she finished that climb/hike. She was really scared and could easily have melted down, or just froze up in fear. It was good that she had the guide nearby, too, that's for sure.

Now why wouldn’t they air that? That’s odd and distorts the perceptions of the leg.

 

Ha, no worries, we pick teams at home before the season starts and this season I picked Raquel and Cayla!

 

Interesting that Caro & Ray are claiming they dropped out because of their passports (she is German, and the borders were closed to non-Americans) -- not their dating status (right).

I completely agree. They show at least a bit of every other speed bump on the shows. I'd thought for sure, until I saw Akbar and Sheri at the finish, and Phil said otherwise, that that team would be last.

 

Thanks for posting that. The reddit had a picture of Arun and Natalia with the giant head of lettuce, but none of us could figure out wtf it was for. It's weird that they didn't air that footage though.
