I hate it that Bopper and Mark are gone. I hope Richie Farmer throws them a big homecoming party.
I was in Manchester, the county seat of Clay County, where Bopper and Mark are from, about 16 years ago and stopped in the local sporting goods store. The lady behind the counter said, "You wanna see Richie?" meaning, did I want to see the Clay County High School state basketball championship team photo, with Richie "The Grand Master" Farmer, his brother Russell "Eagle Eye" Farmer and "Magic Legs" Chadwell and Boxhead and the rest.
    Yup.

If he does throw them a big party, it will be on the taxpayers' dime.

I haven't watched much this season, but I saw the second half on Sunday in the hopes of seeing Rachel get her head shaved... Que Lastima! :)

    I'm impressed they're still going.

No really ruining the surprise here ... MTM and Iron Chet had the victory long since racked up with Art and JJ. Congrats!

That being said, I was impressed by Vanessa in the first hour. Really truly impressed. Especially when they showed her ankle.

I blurted out "Holy shit those look like smashed watermelons" when Rachel was on that sled.

I enjoyed this season quite a bit. The challenges and the travel draw me to the show rather than inter or intra team squabbling.

Rachel was awesome the entire season, definitely the stronger half of that team.

Yup. They were not my favorite team but she pushed through the pain. I'm not sure I would have been able to do it.

I was shocked that Rachel and Dave made it to the finish line without getting the final clue, turned around, got back on the island and did the roadblock before Art and JJ. Then again, I think that road block was more suited to women who have less bulk. A lot easier to balance.

The scaling of the building was awesome. As was sushi bingo. I kinda love Japanese game shows. They're so camp and fun.

Not sure I'd ever be able to go to Hiroshima as an American. It would be like walking up and being all, "Hey, we bombed the fuck out of this place 70 years ago. Sorry about that. Great rebuilding job!"

I was glad Dave didn't go all John Rocker on the female cabbie. :D

Spent some time at Art and JJ's viewing party Sunday and both guys were really cool

Every time Rachel from Big Brother was on screen, the large crowd booed.

I expect to interview one or both later this week, anything you'd like me to ask?

Props to Rachel and Dave - like you said, to get to the mat, turn around, do the last task and still get to the mat first - yeah, that was a dominant win. Now, maybe, Dave won't be such a jerk to her.

And when they were at the memorial, I was wondering what Dave's reaction would be since he's in the Army. I'm glad he talked about it afterward.

Yeah, I was glad that Dave mentioned Pearl Harbor.

The last time I visited the Arizona memorial there, the place was packed with Japanese school kids, laughing and playing around.

Didn't notice any of the Americans laughing or clowning around at the Hiroshima memorial.
