Yeah, that's not at all what they said. They actually were worried the FBI might notice and think something was up, and maybe in that context he said the FBI doesn't know what the signal meant. The KGB all know, as it's meant to be an established signal.

    Technically, a triple agent.

Easy for us to see from a distance. But love - deep love - will make you blind. She's had a thing for Clark for a long time before he made his move. She's beyond head over heels. Watch that final scene when she comes home and puts on that ring. Total, absolute bliss.
One reason why I like this show. It delivers a show like it is life. It's not going to go out of its way to do some shocking, out of the ordinary thing (if Paige had discovered the secret stash, not realistic. She might have her parents' blood in her, but she doesn't know anything about spying/sleuthing ... yet (or maybe ever)). I don't need a cliffhanger or a resolution every episode. Treat the season finale a little special, but make it a regular episode to be picked up in the next episode, which just happens to be next season.

What he said was that they didn't have a protocol in place for putting it on the sides of cars.

Claudia, Philip and Elizabeth would all know the abort signal when they saw it, they just didn't know to be looking for it on passing cars, so it was a crapshoot as to whether any of them would notice it.

    Wait, what?

The most important agent in FBI counterintelligence lives right next door to the top-secret Russian spies he's desperately searching for.

This show is based on one giant plot contrivance and has had many more as it went along. I'm not saying that's a bad thing either. I think it's a good thing, but forgoing plot twists for realism has not been a hallmark of the show.

I was with them right up until the point the FBI tried to block the street with two cars that were 8 feet apart. That was convenient.

Otherwise, I enjoyed it though. Definitely glad I jumped aboard this show early.

Also, haven't seen this mentioned, but the way granny killed the CIA guy — paralyzing him and then letting him bleed out — was among the most chilling death scenes in TV history.

I thought this was pretty cool, from Sepinwall's Q&A with the producers:

You have Richard Thomas in a prominent role as Agent Gaad, and Richard Kline has been in the last few episodes as Martha’s dad. They’re both actors who were prominent in the period, albeit more in the ‘70s than the early ‘80s. Was this a kind of deliberate nod to the era?

Joe Weisberg: Richard Kline may have been a little deliberate.

Joel Fields: We can't deny that one.

I loved the episode even more on second viewing. So many amazing moments.

I kind of want an Agent Gaad "GET IN THE CARS! GET IN THE CARS!" gif

    So many great scenes.

    - Two words in Russian
    - Her listening to the tapes
    - Calling Stan to watch the kids
    - Basically calling Star Wars bullshit years before anyone really knew it was.

I liked the Russian director spray painting cars himself. Something about the head man going all in on that was pretty cool.

It just hit me that now the FBI knows it has a leak in counterintelligence. It wasn't just Elizabeth sensing trap and getting away. Someone came in and saved her.

When they go looking for the leak, Martha's got some 'splainin.

Stan's the leak, but Martha will get caught and take the fall.

I wish there was little more forward momentum in the last few episodes, but there was still a lot going on.

Letting them get away when they had them pinned was a little weak. I thought maybe Ryan Hardy was running tha FBI action.

Granny killing the CIA guy was good.

Best show on tv this year.
