You’re wrong Reddy. They didn’t twist the knife hard enough and they’re soft for actually apologizing for what they said. When you set up to take Vienna, take god damn Vienna

Does anyone know where to find email addresses for people at The Athletic?

Their staff page? If that doesn't work, try contacting them on Twitter.

So am I. The Athletic hired the Panthers' beat writer. No way he was making $100,000 (and he's a solid guy). The Athletic hired a Dolphins beat writer from Fort Lauderdale. No way he was in six figures. You think the Cowboys writer in Fort Worth is making that? Unlikely, considering they laid off the writer who was making good money.

Anyone who thinks a newspaper beat writer outside of New York and Los Angeles, and maybe the Bay Arena, is making six-figures is severely out of touch. That may not have been the case 10-20 years ago, but this is not 10-20 years ago.

Can see someone being against it if he/she wanted a job there and didn't get it, or maybe if someone he/she worked with and
didn't like got a job there. But for a person to think every thing about The Athletic is negative, is a bit puzzling.

It's been communicated to me by "sources" that The Athletic's health plans and other benefits are similar to any newspaper. Writers aren't on the hook for all of their own health care and there is a 401k.

How much is the 401K contribution?

I don't know - all I was told was that it's like any other job. It isn't like staffers are independent contractors or anything like that.
