Woods is definitely one of the best out there. I got to know his work when my wife worked at the T-U a baker’s dozen years ago.

By the time Royko wrote that column, I think he had pretty much had it with Chicago. He moved to WINNETKA in 1992. It might as well be Antarctica, although Winnetka is quite a bit posher.

Bianchi sucks. He's nothing more than a carnival barker.

Greene was a good columnist, though. Funny stuff. Retired a while back, and I think I heard he passed later on?

Vahe Gregorian is money every time out. As smart a reporter and columnist as I've ever been around. Wonderful guy.

Michael Paul Williams of the Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch
For penetrating and historically insightful columns that guided Richmond, a former capital of the Confederacy, through the painful and complicated process of dismantling the city's monuments to white supremacy.

He’s a very nice guy in person and as a coworker. Good runner, too!

He is one of the nicest guys in the business, for sure.

Bianchi is fine until he gets on his UCF high horse. I get the local columnist has to beat the drum for the local teams once in a while but he's gone over the top about that fraud of a program. Also seems to have a deep-seated resentment that Jacksonville has an NFL team and Orlando doesn.t
