Yeah, the thread got all the way to page two before we got this:

Here's hoping for a blown Achilles, an ACL tear, and a compound fracture.

Okay, yup. Everybody is 'pissed' and 'seething' because Starman-lite wrote that.

C'mon, who wouldn't reject a UCLA scholarship for this kind of money?

Here's the thing: he wasn't interested in any of that.

I covered a high level of college basketball for a while, and a lot of those players aren't interested in school, so they don't take school seriously. The program keeps them eligible on an absurdly useless degree program that doesn't do much for them after college. It takes a lot more than a degree from a good school to be successful after college.

I think of course you're right that getting a degree without school debt appears to be better than the alternate route Gelo has taken. Maybe he figures he can work for the Baller brand and live off his brother's fame and riches the rest of his life. Either way, he clearly doesn't care about an education and I'm not sure he'd even benefit from going through the motions to get a degree.

You must mean the Washington Generals. Trump owns the New Jersey Generals.

LOL. Maybe he's better suited for football. Ever think of that? Huh? HUH? ;)

Their new arena so beats UCLA's facilities.

Looks like a high school gym. The Balls know those well.

There are gyms at Kansas Class 2A high schools bigger than that.

I had a dream last night in which I smoked a blunt with the two younger Ball brothers.

I wonder what Mom Ball thinks of her 16 year-old heading to Lithuania.

Whatever, Papa Ball is or isn’t, ESPN is spending an inordinate amount of time in their prime time sports center discussing #1 Ball’s debut in NY.
