The Biggest LOOSER -- running weight loss thread

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by The Big Ragu, Mar 18, 2010.

  1. Oh, I know. I do have lapses from time to time (I went to Chili's and then out to bars for a friend's graduation...and had still lost a net of 2 pounds by Tuesday), but I figure if I keep myself focused on what I'm doing, the occasional screwup doesn't hurt that badly as long as I know it can't become the routine.

Yup. Everybody falls off the wagon every now and again. The key is not letting it become a habit, and it sounds like you're not.

It's actually a pretty good mindset to have. It makes you consider everything you put into your body and weigh whether it's worth it. Sometimes it is worth it, even if it's something bad for you. But as long as you realize what you're putting in and know what you have to do to work it off (and actually do the work), that's a good thing.

After PT this morning (about a 4-mile run at a pretty good clip), I weighed 208.2, so down 1.2 from yesterday. I'll get down to where I want to be. Just have to keep working at it.

152 this morning, lowest in at least a few months, probably before the holidays at least. I've been hitting the weights, so I'm kind of dreaming of that moment when the waist size shrinks and the weight nonetheless goes up, but I haven't gotten there yet. I have truly busted my hump the last few weeks to fight off these couple stubborn pounds just to get to this point. It gets tougher and tougher, but it feels good when you shave off a really difficult half-inch or pound, just because you have to work so damned hard for it. But it's like, "I've lost about 65 pounds over the last few years. I'm not going to concede now."

Thanks. With god as my witness, I am going to see abs at some point. They have to exist, and I'm going to find them.

Weighed 204 this afternoon. Bound and determined to stay in the 200-205 range and maybe even get under 200 again at some point.

If all else fails DW, there's always this route:

Did a weigh-in and waist-in for the first time in a few days yesterday.

150.2 on my scale with a 32.5 waist or so, maybe a smidge over depending on whether I'm exhaled or inhaled, etc.

Still some work to be done, but getting there, ever so slooooooooooowly. Going to attack the KFC grilled chicken breasts this evening.

    That is all
