Seen enough people complaining about crowds on their vacation trips this week to make me glad I'm working.

Friends, what is more irritating, having your windows open on a hot summer night and having to smell a neighbor's cigarette smoke or a yappy neighbor dog barking endlessly?

    Sunburn or bugbites?

I’d choose cig smoke because it’s finite. Dogs can bark for hours.

    Shark bite or bear mauling?

Stick in the eye or hickory sprout to the nuts?

I'm seeing pumpkin spice coffees and hearing people talk about shopping for Halloween. Can we at least WAIT for the kids to be back in school?

BTW - Early line has this being the "hot" Halloween costume for those planning ahead. Extra points if you do an entire group thing.

Cracker Barrel has moved on to putting Christmas stuff front and center.

In my day, we just decorated our yarmulkes with stickers of ghosts and skeletons. Made the rabbi go meshugana.

To me, the Olympics were more enjoyable when we had Russian and Eastern European athletes to root against....

When did "cringe" become an adjective?

I had a nephew tell me some “T” the other day.
Apparently, “T” is the new word to use instead of gossip.
    Interesting.
    Woodland Park, Colorado hello.

Some years ago we had an office Halloween party. I got a white T-shirt and purple pants, ripped them a little, and painted myself green to go as the Hulk. Or maybe a semi-transformed Hulk, since I weighed about 160 pounds at the time. Anyway, I painted my face, legs, back, and anything that might be exposed.
I think it looked good, considering I was painting myself.
However, as I walked to the car my Black neighbor spotted me and gave me a really weird look without saying anything. I'm not sure if it was because of the overall costume looking weird and out of place, or because under the yellow parking lot lights the color spectrum shifted and it looked like I was painted in head-to-toe blackface.
