    Tom Curran did not get the axe. Most of the cuts, eight out of a small newsroom, were young folks recently out of school who get a rude awakening to the business early in their career.

    I'm sure Curran isn't the only one who had promises or assurances made.

    It seems like the Web has just as many landmines as newspapers do. It confuses the shit out of me as to which direction I should turn.

    i wonder if superblogger aaron gleeman got the ax. that would be a huge setback for bloggers given that so much was made of his legitimization, so to speak. it doesn't say anything on his web site which i assume it would since he blogs about himself pretty regularly.
