    Worse. But worse, few companies match anything into a 401K these days.

    Have my first position in 20 years where they offered so much as a partial match to a 401K.

    The majority offer a 401K, but they are of zero incentive for employees who are fortunate enough to know better alternatives to save and invest.

    Good as place as any to post what's wrong with commerce:

    I bought as new lawnmower today (Friday) at my local Lowe's. They have free delivery. Cool.
    It was late in the day. "Can you bring it tomorrow (Saturday)?"
    "Our first available is Tuesday. It will be delivered from (city an hour away out of state)."
    "You have three right here."
    "That's just the way they do it."

    Now, as Paul Harvey said... the rest of the store.
    These particular mowers are made in my hometown. The factory is 2.59 miles from my house as the crow flies. Lowe's - with the mowers sitting there - is 6 miles away.
    They are shipping me one from another state.

    Uhhhhhhhhhhhh?
