The answer to every one of @Batman's questions or concerns about biscuits or fried chicken - or perhaps the infinite mysteries of life itself - is a hot honey chicken biscuit from Pies 'n Thighs.

Now that is an abomination. If my grits and collards weren't touching, that sounds like something I'd eat twice a day. I'm the reason god invented divided trays.

That sounds like an amazing recipe, but the biscuit itself is scrawny. Is this from up North somewhere that they don’t have access to White Lily flour?

That dish is so damn good that when I go there I struggle to order anything else on their menu - and everything on it is great.

    Wait, where is that. Saw’s?

Saw's Juke Joint off of Montclair Rd. I think they're served at all four Saw's, but the Juke Joint has a full menu, not just Q. They do really good shrimp 'n grits as well. *edit* Looks like they removed that in favor of Shrimp n' Greens.

I've loved Saw's since my first time in. I saw that they served a BLT made with a fried green tomato, and I was sold. They make great boudin, too, and that's hard to come by in the 'ham. Their pork BBQ is so tender and tasty that it beats 95% of the Q joints in town hands down, in a city full of BBQ places.

No. Nope. Nope. Couldn't do it.

A buddy comes into work all the time with a breakfast bowl he stops and gets. It's eggs, sausage, hash browns, and a biscuit all smothered in gravy. Makes we want to gag.

I had a friend who ate each item on a plate one by one and spun the plate so it faced him.

    He is unsurprisingly an actuary.

I love barbecue, I love soul food … but y’all can serve your collard greens with kerosene and set that mess on fire.

I judged the World Championship Squirrel Cook Off yesterday. Best side dish I had was squirrel grits.
