I can't stand anything to touch anything. At the food table I'm 62 going on 6.

That's probably somebody's secret family recipe that they swear by.
If there is one thing I've learned in all these years, it's that everybody's mama or memaw makes the best biscuits you'll ever have.

And maybe they can pour “pan treasure” on top of those biscuits. /crossthread

The chicken looks like something I'd like. The biscuit still looks dry.
But, one of the amazing things about Southern food is that there is always a chance this could be the Holy grail for me because nobody makes the same dish the exact same way. If you told 100 people to make biscuits or shrimp and grits, you're going to get 100 different variations of it.

I think that's part of why I don't care for a lot of those things. The quality and taste vary so wildly that you never know exactly what you're going to get.

I look forward to his 2,000 word post on the economics of corn and how the government has distorted it.

Big businesses come and go. Big government always stays with its hand out.

My son does this (without the plate spinning). Even on Thanksgiving, he will eat the turkey, then the potatoes, then the green bean casserole, then the cranberries, all separately. (He does put gravy on some of those).

As someone who will shovel bites mixing meat, potatoes and veggies into my mouth, not sure where he picked up that habit. But he did it as a kid and still eats that way as a young man.
