I abandoned a car once on the shoulder of I-70. Left it there and never went back.

You know how charities run ads saying “Donate your used vehicle in any condition”? When I donated my decrepit (but running) Nissan pickup they waited a week or two on following through before finally deciding they would keep it and send us the tax receipt.

I think, or at least I hope, that the transactions are made based upon honest information. The mortgage market collapsed because it became dishonest. Incomes of buyers were routinely inflated to qualify them for loans. The lenders did not care because they thought they could package the loans and sell them to an unsuspecting sucker of a buyer. When the suckers wised up and refused to buy the markets collapsed.

My sister and brother-in-law bought a new house this past weekend. It's an older place that has been completely renovated and looks sweet from the pictures I've seen. They are selling their other house, probably in the $350k-$425k range. For that house, they replaced a deck with a stone outdoor space and hot tub, renovated the kitchen and bathrooms, built a wood fence all along their nearly an acre of land and did some other stuff. I figure they have at least more than $100k in equity, and good for them.

I will never own a house.

This crypto “reserve” is just such an unbelievable scam to his donors and probably to him and his cabinet as well. The government is buying crypto, which will jack the price up and make all of the magic beans advocates a ton of cash.
