Lost in all of this (and I'm not a fan of Mark at all) but, at one time, he was a very good writer.

    In Pittsburgh or elsewhere?

If Madden wants a fresh start, he should pack up and leave town ASAP.

Amen. The three words to take from this....
    ....freedom of choice.

I loathe Hannity, Limbaugh and the rest of the neocon radio that helps permeate Houston's airwaves. By freedom of choice, I got Sirius. No Hannity (though he runs on the conservative talk channel), no Limbaugh. All is well. Why? Freedom of choice. If you bitch and moan about a talking head, be it the aforementioned or Madden (when he was on) but still listen, then that's on you. No one has a Glock to your head telling you not to flip the channel.

Madden lost his job? That's a shame.

I wasn't even talking about moving up.

I just meant maybe it's time he left town for a fresh start.

I understand the local Steeler-themed pizza joint is trying to hire dishwashers.

Then the both of them should have been shitcanned along with Madden. Madden may have been the cash cow, but after being told time after time to can his shit, and he continues, clearly shows that spineless conglomerate radio empires like Infinity, CBS, and Disney doesn't want to lose money, so they won't take action unless someone really does something to embarass them.

I wouldn't be surprised if XM picks him up by year's end. XM is the Boys Town of over-the-line radio hosts/shock jocks.

You miss the point. How about holding stations accountable for the shit they put on the air? How about protesting that they could and should deliver something better than a guy who thinks it's either funny or cutting edge to wish someone would be assassinated?

Maybe that's why it's losing money.
