    As I've said before, I'm not sure what's worse - that Mr. Whitlock believes what he writes. Or that he doesn't.

    We slow down to gawk because he's a brightly burning car fire.

    As far as the thread title goes, in the world of sports journalism he’s beyond irrelevant. He’s toxic. Unhireable by any reputable outlet.

    He’s had to become whatever this is to capture any attention.

    Look, I thought Jason sucked even in his Kansas City days — like, sucked out loud. He hasn't gotten any better since then, and that was damn near 30 years ago.

    If you had to write his obit would you even say Whitlock is well-known enough to be labeled "controversial." Perhaps "noted black racism denier"?
