I was really disappointed by the demise of her candidacy, She would have made a much better president than either of the two left. To fully embrace the stereotype of female leaders, she would have been a lot more cerebral and way less testosterone ridden.

Not that being a woman guarantees an empathy - as we've seen - but with her, I think it would have.

It wasn't so much her opponents who capitalized on the "deplorables" remark, it was the Washington "savvy" reporters and commentators whose mantra is you should never tell the voters the truth about themselves. You'll never catch American media doing that. Racists and fascists buy the shit they advertise, too.

FFS, they do it all the time. The American media never talks about the racism and sexism of voters? My goodness.

Alma, at best they double-talk it.

They'll discuss it in one segment, then explain it away with "likability" or "economic anxiety" in another. So what's the point of even bringing it up in the first place?

If one wants to argue the media talks out both sides of its mouth, I think that's a compelling enough argument, although, again the American media talks about racism and sexism so much that it has the effect of being counterproductive.

To suggest it's never discussed...c'mon. What's the point of making things up?

If they didn't bring it up as a legitimate problem in need of fixing, did they really discuss it in any meaningful way?

The biggest problem with the "establishment" talk by Sanders is while it might keep your base fighting - it does nothing to enlarge it and gives people who may be with you on the issues the impression that you're more interested in "sticking it" to the establishment than actually making gains on your issues. In the next week or two, Bernie should say "I'll drop out tomorrow if Biden adopts universal healthcare, college debt relief and fighting wealth inequality as part of his agenda. These are things the Democratic Party supports, I don't know why he doesn't."

The whole idea here is you want to
    BE the establishment.

Biden probably won't push ahead on universal healthcare, college debt relief, fighting wealth inequality, environmental protection, etc etc etc, as fast as the Bros (or me) would want.

But if Fatfuck and his fascists keep power, NONE of that shit happens. None none none. In fact they'll all get much much worse -- infinitely worse.

And anybody who even talks about it will be dragged to prison.

So if Biden's the nominee and if Trump's reelected, it's not your fault.

    Uh, yes it is.
