I'd think that if you could afford to spend $500 per person on dinner, wouldn't it be easier just to take a trip to New York or Chicago and eat at the actual Eleven Madison Park and Alinea?

For what it is worth, I have a client over Eleven Madison Park in one of the 10 million old Met Life buildings in New York (impressive building.

    My relatively unsophisticated review: Overrated.

But I am not really good on restaurants because I don't eat meat.

Interesting article on Eleven Madison Park in the latest New Yorker behind the paywall. Sounds like the chef/owners have had to jack the prices up even more after they bought out Danny Meyer.

Pete Wells just crushes Guy Fieri's new restaurant in Times Square:

One of the most brutal reviews I've ever read.

Actually, this has become sport. The Times was tame compared to the New York Observer.

The comments are pretty hilarious. Some of them had an "SJ" ring

The Times review is "going viral". Seeing it everywhere.

I just read that off a friend's FB feed ... spectacular.

Does Fieri have a trademark way of talking in questions? I figured there was a reason every sentence was written as such, but I'm not familiar with him.

That's one of the best things I've ever read. Utterly embarrassing if you're associated in any way with that particular establisment. Wow.
