I thought you had mentioned copper river salmon previously, and indeed you had:

    Have fun!

Each course was very good on its own, but by the time we got to the last of the pre-dessert plates, I was pretty much salmoned out.

Mission BBQ. NC, Va, Md and York, Pa. Really good. Brisket, pulled pork, sausages, ribs, chicken and turkey. All smoked

Had the best crab cakes in the USA this afternoon: Faidley's Seafood in Baltimore's Lexington Market.

You know that other crab cake you're thinking about? Uh-uh. This one.

In Weatherford tonight, ate at a place on West Main called Luigi's, a plate of shrimp primavera. Absolutely fabulous.

    Any cooks among the foodies?

I'm looking for a good set of knives. My aunt, the caterer, recommends Cutco. Anyone else have a recommendation?

That is a pretty good call, Buck. I know nothing about knives, and I am not even sure how we fell into one of those J.A. Henckels knives, but it is the best knife we own.

I have a good friend who is a chef. We live on opposite sides of country now and really not in contact.
But I remember him having Henckels when he was at Johnson & Wales.

My wife's a chef, and we have Henckel knives. Sharpen them every once in a while and they're good to go. We got them about 20 years ago. No problems with them at all.

Thank y'all! That's the one I think my aunt said her husband used.

That website sure is a pain in the ass, though.

I work in food nowadays, and while my work collection is El Cheapo, I use mostly Wusthof-Tridents at home; I buy one a year, always on sale.

Cutco is a perfectly fine knife. If you're trying to save money, Chicago Cutlery has some stuff that's pretty good.
