Obi-Wan died 30-35 years before Episode VII. Rey looks great for her age, not a day over 20.

And Obi-Wan left his child with another couplesince Rey is waiting for her parents to return. Is Obi-Wan Jedi Jesus?

Yeah, the timeline doesn't make sense to me either.

    I've read Obi-Wan's granddaughter.

That would make more sense, that he had a child with the Mandalorian woman or with somebody on Tatooine. There was a love interest in the novel Kenobi, which I believe is still considered canon, but I don't think they did the baby-making during the events of that book.

The movies are about the Skywalker Family, Ren is a Skywalker. With no training she did Jedi mind tricks and handled the light saber like a pro. The force is strong with young Skywalker.

Why does everyone assume she has no training? I think she knows who she is, has been trained and played a part to avoid being noticed for years. I may need to watch again, but I felt she was told to not mention who her father was/is until the time is right. Hell, she may be a long lost Palpatine

I like the idea that Rey is Luke's daughter and Kenobi's granddaughter. Not strictly bound to Jedi Code, Kenobi found love/lust between Episodes III and IV in his 30s/40s and had a kid. Did he abandon the kid with the mother for protection? Did he know he had a kid and Luke sought her out, being in approximate age for a relationship? Two bloodlines strong in the Force makes her like a savant. And what if Phasma is Rey's mom/Luke's wife. Snoke wanted to destroy Skywalker and family. He didn't get Rey but got Ben/Kylo and Phasma, whatever her name really is, and pushed Be to the Dark Side and had her reconditioned like the other stormtroopers. Kenobi, Phasma, Rey ... all British accents.

I like a lot of the online theories. None will pan out.

I'm not sure why Phasma is part of so many of the theories. I guess because we were led to believe she is important, then she really didn't do much except get pushed around.

She thought Luke was a "myth."

So far, she's kind of the Boba Fett of this trilogy.

It's funny. She was such a small part, but I noticed in the Tournament of Roses Parade, that Phasma character was there on the Disney float.

I think it's OK if Phasma has a backstory. Every character in "Star Wars" has a backstory. As a kid, I'd always think I was missing something in the movies when I'd hear them, not realizing they came out of comic books, novelizations, etc. (Example: We already know that Poe Dameron's mom and dad fought alongside our heroes in the Rebellion.)

But, good lord, I don't want her to have some connection to the Skywalkers, the Solos, the Calrissians, the Palpatines, or the Organas. For god's sake, please.
