I saw it for the second time last night. The girlfriend hadn't seen it and I was tired of hiding spoilers.

I still found it enjoyable the second time around. Obviously the shock value is off, but the key emotional moments still hit me pretty hard, especially all the stuff between Han and Leia. And for some reason, I enjoyed Daisy Ridley's performance even more the second time. I think the first time I was just in awe of all the classic Star Wars stuff (Holy shit, it's the Millennium Falcon! Oh shit, it's Luke lightsaber!). The second time, I was really able to focus on her character's development and just how much of a badass she ended up being in the end.

Oh, and Luke is definitely standing next to a gravestone when Rey finds him.

    Not actors, Dum-Dum. Characters.

Do character actors count? In Avatar there was the military guy with the big guns.

I thought he was joking that those three play the same person - themselves - in every film.

That was also how I read it.

Well, then, it's his own fault for not dumbing his jokes down to my level.

Finally saw it. I am not writing my Doctoral thesis on the movie, so here are so random, basic thoughts...

That's Earth at the end. Past or present, I am unsure, but placing our solar system in that last piece would be a nice touch.
I wish the new "Vader" was more powerful. This kid can't hold his grandfather's light saber.
The guy who dies had to die sooner or later. The actor can't do this action shit forever.
So only 25 years of peace? Jesus, why bother?
I liked the writing. The funny lines were great, and they kept nodding at the people who were old enough to have seen the first one in the theaters.
I would not be surprised to find out Fin is related to Lando.
I like how they answered some of the Clerks questions.

A very good movie. Not quite as good as Guardians of the Galaxy, but sitting right behind it.

    It's not Earth. That's confirmed.

This is a spoiler thread. "The guy who died" has a name. It's Han Solo.

Other than being black, what gives you any indication that Finn is related to Lando?

It would make zero sense to include Earth anywhere in the Star Wars Universe. Not sure why anyone would think it's Earth, much less for Lucasfilm to have to confirm it.

It's not outlandish to suggest Finn might be related to Lando based on the fact that they're both black. There were only two black guys in the Galaxy before Finn, he stated that he was taken from a family he never knew (which leads to speculation about who that family might be) and the other two main young characters are (or at least appear to be) tied by familial relations to the old guard. Lando seems a much more likely candidate to be related to Finn than Mace Windu.
