    Enjoy...

This guy is the modern version of Rick Sebek for Pittsburghers.

The Falcon that part of the top came off? I loved that thing, too.

I've now seen this twice in theaters, which is the first movie I've seen twice in a theater since Star Wars. I chalk it up to being bored and on per diem while waiting on surgery. Went with friends who came to Singapore for the holiday, and they hadn't seen it yet. (It only came out 1/9 where we live.)

Two comments I caught this time around. [Paraphrasing here, so Dick, please don't jump me for mis-remembering the exact quote :) ]

When Rey finds BB8 and asks where he's from:
    BB8: - "Beep, beep."
    Rey: "Classified? Yeah, me too."

After Kylo unsuccessfully Forces out the map from Rey and he's talking to the other guy:
"She does not yet know the power of which she is capable."

I'm still leaning to the kin of Ben Kenobi. (Heck, maybe his daughter has been frozen in carbonite all this time.) The Leia's-daughter-after-Han sounds reasonable too. I just still think having her be Luke's is too easy.

I only saw the prequels once so if that's how she fits in I never would figure it out.

I'm likely seeing it again on my next day off. That would make three times. But it's not just a Star Wars thing. I really enjoy seeing movies on the big screen, and not just the special effects movies. I loved Bridge of Spies on the big screen. I've always loved going to the movies, and I've done multiple viewings plenty of times.

    Con Air 6 times
    Face Off 7 times
    Superman Returns 6 times
    Man of Steel 2 times
    Batman Begins 2 times
    Dark Knight 2 times
    Dark Knight Rises 2 times
    Avengers 2 times
    Silver Linings Playbook 3 times
    Wonder Boys 2 times
    Halloween 4 times
    Ghostbusters 5 times
    A-Team 2 times
    Grindhouse 2 times
As Good As It Gets 4 times
Gamgs of New York 2 times
    Interstellar 3 times

But not all showings are full price. It helps to have a second-run theater around for $2 tickets.

Con Air six times and Face/Off 7 times in the theater? Sounds like a Nicholas Cage fetish to me.

Superman Returns six times sounds more like masochism.

I tease. I certainly watch movies over and over again, but only once in the theaters.

Con Air and Face Off are two of the best episodes of the How Did This Get Made podcast.

In my defense, I was 16 when those Cage movies came out. And they're still fuckin' awesome. Superman Returns, I have no excuse.

I'm trying to think of the last movie I saw in the theater more than once ... maybe the first Lord of the Rings movie, because I'd promised two different people I'd watch it with them and we couldn't all three get together at the same time.

Almost every time I saw a movie twice in a theater it was because I saw it with friends or family first then later went with a date who wanted to see it too.

I saw The Dark Knight in theaters twice. And the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles twice when I was a kid.
Other than that, I don't know if I've ever gone to see anything twice.

On a related note, I've sometimes wondered if I could think back and remember every movie I've ever seen in theaters. I can look at a movie title and instantly remember if I have or not, but not sure I could do it off the top of my head.

Last movie I saw twice in theaters was the Star Trek reboot in 2009, just because I liked it a lot. Enjoyed it both times.

Before that, god, the last time I'd seen a movie twice was probably the Superman 2 movie with Christopher Reeve.

I don't think I've ever seen a movie more than once in theaters. Which is weird, because if a movie is good, I could watch it a billion times and not get bored.

I just hate going to theaters.
