On,y time I can recall seeing a movie twice in the theaters was Rocky IV. Saw it with my cousins, then my father wanted to see it, so I went twice.

Both times I went, the crowd cheered after Rocky knocked down Drago. Like there was any doubt he would.

I've seen that movie probably close to 100 times over the years. I still get giddy when he knocks him down.
I also get fired damn near every time Duke talks during that fight.

    "What's happening out there?"

"He's winning. I see three of them out there."

"Hit the one in the middle."

"Right! Hit the one in the middle."

    Always cracks me up.

In the story it said they make an airsoft version (I assume to resist pellet guns and paintballs, but it's obviously cheaper) for $325. If you're into that world, that's probably not a bad deal.

Yea not bad I suppose. Haven't played in years but those guys spend tons of money on it. Part of the reason I don't do it anymore. LOL

  9. Grrr, didn't like it but I understand it's needed for a new generation of fans. It's basically a ripoff of 4 for girls.

Heh heh. So I never did get around to seeing it in the theater, but I finally got a digital copy, and watched it last night:

    A few notes:

    1) It was great overall, IMO in a 3-way cluster with ROTJ and ROTS.

    2) Rey is Luke's daughter. Unlike Donald Trump, he doesn't want to screw her.

    3) Harrison Ford was pretty good as Han; Carrie Fisher was a stiff as Leia. (Surprisingly there is a deleted scene in which she actually moves at more than a slow walk and delivers more than one line; they should have left that scene in to give Leia some energy).

    4) With the exception of Darth Vader, there couple brief nods to 'The Empire' and one passing reference to the Death Star. And that's it as far as references to ANY other episode.

No mention of Yoda, Obi-Wan or Lando. Nothing about Palpatine.

No mention of the Battle of Yavin, Hoth, etc etc.

Not a word about Tattooine or Endor.

So not only did JJ write off the PT, but for the most part he wrote off the OT as well.

Episode 8 will have to feature more significant participation from Luke, Leia, Chewie and R2-D2. Since TFA assiduously avoided quotes or references from ANY other SW episode, my bet is Ep. 8 will be peppered with them.

Read a pretty good argument that Rey is a descendant of someone you mentioned who was not mentioned in this film, not a Skywalker or Solo.

Obi Wan? I think that's been talked about on this thread.
