I may be mistaken, but isn't this the story of the rebel/s who snuck the Death Star plans out so Luke could ultimately blow it up?

Hey, another movie about destroying a Death Star.

 

Point taken, but it's funny how my kid natters non-stop about the Death Star and the Star Killer. If you think about "Star Wars" as, essentially, kids' movies, then these repeating motifs serve a real purpose.

 

Isn't this about the spies who stole the plans to the Death Star? So the Death Star will be in it, but I don't think it will be the main focus like A New Hope, Jedi and Force Awakens. Maybe more in the vein of Empire?

 

Seems more like a heist movie. Assembling the team, etc.

 

The trailer makes it seem like it is just about that one rebel, who it sounds like is named Gin Asshole from the trailer, and less about the team. Unless they are doing a thing where they introduce more team members with future trailers, which would be kinda sweet.

 

Well, someone has to be the main protagonist, unless you want "Phantom Menace" redux.
