Does anyone know what C-3PO's line was when the Rebels leave Yavin IV to join the battle at Scarif? I saw it today for the second time and missed it both times. The first time, the theater went crazy and I couldn't hear it, and today, my sister leaned over to talk to me just as they appeared and I missed it again. I hate theater talkers.

It was something along the lines of "Now they're going to Scarif? Why doesn't anyone tell me anything?"

Saw it again today. After I told my wife it was good, she decided she wanted to see it, after initially being uninterested. She's a fan of the original trilogy and liked Episode VII. She enjoyed it.

It holds up well on a second viewing. And the closing Darth Vader scene is even better to watch all the detail.

And I'll admit, the Princess Leia scene was pretty heartbreaking, after the last few days.

Almost two weeks after it opened, the theater was three-quarters full for a 12:30 show. Half the audience clapped and yelled when young Leia appeared. I'm not saying it was dusty, but I'm glad I had 3-D glasses on.

Saw an afternoon screening of "Rogue One" today ... just like Deskgrunt observed, our theater was about 3/4 full. Overall, more enjoyable than "The Force Awakens."

The final battle (Star Destroyer demolition derby! Wannabe Jedi and his gunman going down in a blaze of glory!) was great ... and as many have mentioned, it was fun to see Darth Vader in full badass mode. Finally the last rebel standing figured out to pass the CD-Rom with the Death Star plans through the gap in the door.

I also noticed the brief appearance of "Walrusman" and his grumpy partner (in Episode IV, he states "I have a death sentence in 12 systems") on the doomed Jedha planet. Maybe they left the planet before its destruction, so they could hassle Luke and Obi-Wan in the creature cantina a few (months?) later.

That last one's a continuity error for sure.

They saw them before the battle happened, so they both had plenty of time to get off the moon before the city blew up.

What is the time gap between the end of R1/beginning of ANH and the scenes with Luke on Tattoine?

I watched it yesterday, and I thought it might've overlapped a bit.

I saw it yesterday, too. The ending was spoiled for me, but it was still very enjoyable.

The Vader scene wasn't nearly as "bad-ass" as a lot of people made it out to be.

Not very long, I'd imagine. The stormtroopers landed on Tatooine quickly enough to see the evidence left behind by C-3PO and R2-D2 before it got buried in the sand. Figure the droids walked for awhile, got picked up by the Jawas and then bought by Owen Lars within a couple of days at most.

The ending was spoiled? You mean you knew the Death Star plans were going to get out?

I was trying to do an exact timeline in my head too, but it's a little murky. Vader obviously sees an escape ship / smaller ship leaving the main, destroyed Rebel ship. He could have boarded it at the start of ANH anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple days later, since it didn't look like that ship was much of a powerhouse.

I figure it had to be more than a few minutes since he was standing in the open hangar (forget the physics of it!) and still had to get back to the main bridge, they had to calculate the ship's course and then catch up to it. They're flying at or above light speed, so any head start is going to be significant. My guess would be as much as a day, though it's really a complete shot in the dark.
