    Fenian, my mentor's favorite was the Hawley-Smoot Tariff. Sounds like a couple of welders.
     
  9. Actually, LJB, once, at a Buchanan rally in NH in 1988, old Pat actually mentioned the Smoot-Hawley Tariff as something we should think about.
    I was thrilled!

    Yeah, because protective tariffs are the way to stimulate your economy.
