Shockey, what a setlist! And as to GOTJ, agreed. I also hope he puts a version with better cameras and sound on the website.

Bruce is coming to town. I have no tickets, but of course as the time has neared I have the itch.

No way am I paying the $600 or so on StubHub for a decent seat.

What's the scalping situation been like? Is it even worth hanging around, letting the concert start and then seeing what the market's bearing?

He also left out both Devil's Arcade and The Rising, both of which I thought were snoozers.

Had a friend who went last night to the Houston concert; Joe Ely came out and did one of the encores (his "All Just to Get to You," great song) and Alejandro Escovedo did too.

Looked like a great show based on the setlist...
    Setlist:
    Cadillac Ranch
    Radio Nowhere
    Lonesome Day
    Atlantic City
    Magic
    Because the Night
    Candy's Room
    She's the One
    Out in the Street
    Livin' in the Future
    The Promised Land
    Girls in Their Summer Clothes
    The E Street Shuffle
Terry's Song (played in honor of Terry Magovern who would've turned 68)
    Devil's Arcade
    The Rising
    Last to Die
    Long Walk Home
    Badlands
    Thunder Road
    * * *
Always a Friend (w/ Alejandro Escovedo)
All Just to Get to You (w/ Joe Ely)
    Rosalita
    Born to Run
    Tenth Avenue Freeze-out
    American Land

Although I think that the love for the song is a little excessive, nice touch doing "Terry's Song". Really surprised that Reason to Believe is out and that he skipped Gypsy Biker.

Your friend is very lucky, those guys are two of my fave artists. And any show that starts with "Cadillac Ranch" is aces in my book. Gotta find a boot of this one.

Here's what you do - and I'm serious as a heart attack about this:

Go to the Will Call window. Put your name in for any unclaimed seats. There's always someone who DOESN'T show up.

Ask what time to check back before the show.

Check back - and if you don't get anything, check again when the first song is playing. You'll get tickets at face value and likely good seats, too.
