    That is quite convenient of Stoops to take that stance now, though it is good to see him at least show some remorse for his decision. Does it take away any guilt that should be attributed to Stoops in the matter? Not at all, because he gained a real benefit from not dismissing Mixon.

    As I'm on one of my Shakespeare kicks again, I ask, "May one be pardoned and retain th' offense?"
