If Clinton can't win Texas, I'm guessing it will be awhile before any democrat does...

I think the last time Texas went to a democrat was 1976.

    Or maybe 2000 or 2004. :D

Yeah, the problem the Democrats have in winning Texas is they still haven't been able to convince real Americans to allow the illegals to vote.

I mean, without ex-cons and illegals, the Democrats would be in trouble in Florida, too......

Which is why they're so against voters having to show ID. :D

Which is one of the biggest bunches of bullshit.

I've never heard one legitimate reason why someone shouldn't have to show a valid ID to vote.

It doesn't take anything but a little effort to get a valid government ID

Seems to me that the GOP is the party engaging in shenanigans in Florida. Rick Scott and his people have tried to purge nearly 200,000 voters from the rolls (in violation of the National Voting Rights Act requirements for lead time before an election). Here's one of the people Scott is trying to keep from voting, posing with his passport:

When did a valid U.S. passport stop being proof of U.S. citizenship? The international ramifications of that idea are mind-boggling.

A close presidential election coming down to who wins Florida. What could go wrong?

How does it work with snowbirds who live part of the year but aren't Florida residents? They wouldn't, I would think, be allowed to vote local elections, right?

Well, like in 2000, the Dems could fuck up their attempts to rig the outcome.

Oh look, Mr. Libertarian has no problem with people being demanded to present their papers to exercise a basic right. When it suits his political goals...

There's a difference, subtle but important, between how you described the ID differently in the two times you mentioned it.
