Shouldn't be. That'd be a victory for him, I assure you.

  2. Most people on this board will find themselves taking out their frustrations on others because they can't bring themselves to admit that Obama is a massive failure. It is sad to watch it unfold.

[Hums "Battle Hymn of the Republic," sets fire to basket of Swiss debenture bonds, base jumps from radio antenna atop Bain Capital Tower with banner reading "Who speaks for the straight white male Christian businessman? Who?"]

  4. Unemployment rate drops in all states that elected Republic Governors in 2010.

It would be interesting to see what employment numbers would look like if you backed out the gains by these Republican led states and Rick Perry's Texas.

I wonder how much of that apparent improvement is attributable to simply taking people off the unemployment rolls. Most of those states chose not to extend benefits.

I'll be voting for Obama because I just can't bring myself around to pulling the lever for Mitt, but if anyone ever gets around to taking a serious look at economic metrics from Obama years they are not pretty.

There's a difference between smart and cunning. Which is what all of these guys have in common.

Vice-President wanna be Chris Christie was unaware that New Jersey was losing 1,000 jobs as Roche is closing its campus in Nutley.

Christie said last week that his administration tried to keep Roche in New Jersey, but couldn’t compete with lower taxes and incentives being offered elsewhere.

Wilson, however, said there were no talks between Roche and New Jersey officials about an incentive package to keep the company from leaving until June 25, the day before the announcement, when Christie was alerted to the drug company’s intentions. At that point, she said, it was too late.

Now to be fair to Christie, New Jersey is losing pharm jobs at rapid rate and may not be totally his fault, but shouldn't someone in the administration been on top of the situation and not wait until the day before the company made its announcement? Where are the pharmaceutical companies moving to? "High Tax" places like California, Massachusetts and Europe.

I'm not sure there's a more tired trope in national politics than, "The other guy is dumb!"

I am certain that there are politicians who get elected or judges who get appointed who are not of above-average intelligence.

Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, Clarence Thomas, and George W. Bush are not among them. They're just not. Sarah Palin comes closest, in my opinion, though lack of curiosity might better describe her. That and some personality flaws, namely the thin skin and raging persecution complex.

Christie has been busy getting into shouting matches with teachers on the Jersey Shore.

    Fat bully.

    I suppose he's "smart," too.

Palin is an opportunist and that's the nicest thing you can say about any acuity she might have.

You sound like the 'eastern elites?' Are you an 'eastern elite?'
