Do you disagree that your post likely made Starman smile?

Odd that that phrase would appear in a discussion involving responses to -- rather than the content of -- a Starman post.

I don't think anything makes Starman smile. Maybe when Michigan State loses.

There was no reason to make it personal, period. If he had said he was smarter than you, then sure. But he didn't. You didn't know Ronald Reagan. He wasn't a relative or a friend.

Starman always smiles when he sees basketball being played The Right Way, with fundamentally sound chest passes.

Fair point, ruck. Now I must take my leave to do some enduring work.

A few months ago we were talking about a brokered convention... I don't think it's a reach to say people should be surprised that it's this close.

It's only seems like a reach if you're not as intelligent as me ... :D

Why? Even if the convention were brokered, it doesn't mean Obama wouldn't be polling close to both GOP candidates. And I don't think it's nearly as close as these polls show. Nate Silver has Obama at 2-1. Those are betting odds.

I think the odds are about right. It still surprises me that Obama hasn't pulled away, and he may very well still do that...

Odds of 2:1 imply an estimated likelihood of winning of 66.7% ... in NFL line terms, this would be equivalent to being a 5.5-point favorite.

Unemployment is eight percent and you're surprised the incumbent isn't pulling away in July?

I guess that shows what you think of Romney.
