I have now put way too much thought into this post, trying to decide if you really do believe you're a "simpleton" and are poking fun at yourself, or if you're mocking me for suggesting you're one of those people who wish the show was all Creed, all the time.

I'm imagining, however, that it is not something that works on multiple levels.

I love Creed. He's utilized perfectly in this show. Any more would be overkill. I spend half the episode wondering when Creed will get his moment, and it rarely disappoints.

I noticed Jim's tie was clipped in one of the commercials and wondered why. When I saw Pam's vale get torn during the episode, I immediately realized where they were going, and it was very cool when it actually happened.

Trust me. I really am a simpleton. I mean, I read that long post of yours and actually agreed with most, if not all, of it. I just never think about that kind of stuff on my own when it comes to TV. I like to be entertained, and when it happens, I'm happy. I don't ask questions in fear that the entertainment might go away. :)

Sonner, I read that post and thought KVV was Alan Sepinwall. That's a compliment. Love me some Sepinwall.

I went back and rewatched the wedding sequence and it's even better on a second viewing. At first, i thought the use of the "Forever" dance this was lame but upon further review, it only made Jam's getaway even better.

And the more I think about this episode, the more I appreciate it. Love all the small things, like Angela not dancing and Stanley letting loose for the first time in the line.

Oh, and I don't know how this escaped me but Pam's grandmom saying she knew something was wrong with them because they chose a hotel that would show Bruno was hilarious.

I was disappointed by that, too. Would've been nice to at least see some sort of reaction from Jim and Pam when she walked into the church.

I know, maybe Jim could have looked at the camera and smirked.

Cosmo - I thought the same thing.

One other thing I wanted to add -- I really liked how this was in some ways a subtle callback to "Booze Cruise," which is one of the best episodes of the series. After Michael told everyone the boat was sinking, Roy was inspired to set a date for he and Pam's wedding .. right as Jim was going to tell her how he felt about her.

Then Captain Jack (Rob Riggle) said, "As captain of this ship, I can marry you right here!"

Pam's answer: "No, I want my mom and dad there."

Pam did in fact get married by a ship captain, but in the end, it didn't matter who was there, just as long as Jim was there.

That is fantastic recall. And makes the show even better.

How about Michael turning down Toby's offer of a bed, instead sleeping in the ice machine room.
