Another one of those subtle moments which made me laugh, which I now remember: Jim's dad walking down the aisle wearing a kilt.

And Jim's dad was Sgt. Getraer from CHiPs...

Watched the ep for a second time last night, armed with the insights of Sepinwall and the others here at SJ. Really, really enjoyed it. And the dance scene worked so well because of the continued cuts back to the real wedding on the Maid of the Mist.

I'm really curious to see where the show goes from here, considering this was the major overriding plot line of the show's first four years.

Well, there is the upcoming baby ... plus the resolution to the Jim/Michael management scenario.

Yeah, to me that was the whole point -- that it was so lame, so unoriginal and so obvious that of course Michael and the gang were going to do it and think they were being all cutting edge. I don't think that was the writers being lazy, I think it was showing insight into who those people are.

I'll agree with this and throw in my own small point. Watching it a second time, the shot that stuck with me the most was the very last one - Jim and Pam on the front of the boat, soaked, after getting married. Her leaning on his shoulder, he looks at the camera and gives this bewildered smile, like "I can't believe it finally happened." Just such a cool moment, and thinking about it more, the best thing about it is that it was completely earned. All they've been doing with the first five (I think?) seasons set this up just beautifully. They had to finally deal with the Jim/Pam wedding - in Meredith's words, "piss or get off the pot" - and they pulled it off 100 percent.

And I'll add...Pam, pretty much the whole episode...DAMN. She even pukes sexy.

    Best episode I've seen.

Finally got a chance to watch it this morning, by myself, and laughed out loud nearly a dozen times. That to me is the mark of a great show.

And couldn't wait to read all the perceptive comments about it on here. Added even more to my enjoyment of the show.

I don't know if it's been posted here, but check out Dwight's shirt on Amazon - it was another internet phenomenon (read the reviews): http://www.amazon.com/Mountain-Three-Short-Sleeve-Black/dp/B000NZW3KC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=apparel&qid=1255217177&sr=8-1

I keep thinking we haven't seen the last of Andy being gay. Imagine the possibilities if he came out of the closet and had a relationship with Oscar.

I haven't seen the episode yet, but Three Wolf Moon and the wedding dance? Not that they both aren't awesome, but is that going to be the direction the show goes from now on? Lots of web meme references?

Cool, I was wondering if that was pallister's shirt. Turns out I was right.
