Is there such a thing as a good clips show?

How many of us would have signed up for THIS class?

Last night might have been the first time I've watched an entire Office without laughing. The limo driver putting the slide up drew a smile, but the rest of it -- Jim fighting for authority, Dwight in line for the mic, the over-the-top stuff with Michael on stage and then talking to the Board -- just wasn't funny. Also, Jim put Ryan in the closet this week, but I'm pretty sure he was already in there during the clip show last week.

    Last night was a rerun.

I was concerned when I opened this thread, since my DVR did not record an Office last night. It was indeed a rerun.

The whole Thursday night lineup was reruns. That was weird after they had new episodes last week.

Same thing with CBS this Monday. Figured HIMYM and Big Bang would be new, but they were reruns.

My first thought was NBC didn't want to restart the Office storylines if they were just going to be interupted by the Olympics. But they've got at least one more Thursday before the Olympics start, don't they?

So I'm now guessing they wanted to air their new episode during February sweeps, which begins Thursday, Feb. 4.

So why not just save that clip show for last week, run the new one next week, and then you'd have back-to-back new episodes instead of this herky-jerky stuff?
Of course, that would make sense. And this is NBC we're talking about.

  10. Still a stupid show, but I did notice Michael and David enjoying Yuenglings in the hot tub.

Best part of driving home: Stopping in PA and getting a 20-pack of Yuengling bottles.

So, did anyone laugh tonight? Anything to laugh at?

Did notice Ed Helms gets a shot in opening credits now.
