Erin and Andy split because he didn't tell her about Angela, right? We know Gabe asked her out and she went because he's her boss. I think the chase is more fun with them anyway, because they're both pretty funny characters.

I loved this episode. The wine bottle was fantastic, as was the Law and Order bit, right down to the cheesy tightening the belt pun. Fantastic.

I really loved how Creed was phoning in his review.

I also liked how Andy Bernard was back in the game with Erin and then she left to get Gabe soup.

He's like the spurned high school kid who gets trapped in the friend zone. Poor Andy.

Yeah, that makes sense. That bit slipped my mind.

I love the fact that Andy spoiled the whole plot when he deals with his phone. I can't imagine anything more terrifying for an actor than that.

But it was an easy joke to see coming with the aside they did with him. And I don't know who was calling him. I'm guessing it was Erin calling him to let him know that he was coming. She seems like the bright one that would do something like that.

I haven't read this thread since the middle of last season. But when I saw Creed dictating that review, I laughed out loud then raced over here, because I knew it would get plenty of love.

    I was not disappointed.

I kill this show any more on this thread, so I'll give props when it's due. One of the funniest episodes in a long time tonight, in my mind at least. Rolling all the way through. From the guy who worked in "La Philadelphia" trying to kill the hornets nest to all of the awkward Michael scenes to Dwight's facial expressions during the Holly-Michael exchange. Really well done.

I concur. One hundred percent old-school "Office."

    Totally agree.

Meredith: That's because it's on my genitals.

    Kevin: You have a penis?

Tonight was hilarious, and given this episode, it reinforces my belief that if anyone's going to be the boss after Michael's departure, it has to be Andy.

Nope. It needs to be Darryl. Would be a great change of pace -- Andy has a bit too much Michael in him -- and Craig Robinson is an awesome comic actor.

I thought they set it up to be kind of a battle between Darryl and Andy to take over. But Gabe might get involved, which would be funny. Or Jim.

The Office at its best was a standalone from any long-term storylines. While the episode did set up some routes they could go down with Holly and the next boss, it was nicely self-contained and really funny.

Good to see the show still has the ability to do that.
