Gotcha. Must have missed that line. That makes more sense than not mentioning him at all.

That did suck that he left, but on the plus side, it has opened up more screen time for Tom and Leslie's boss. I could kind of do with less Andy and April though.

Oh, I disagree, at least on Andy. He's the star of this season to me. The look he shot at the camera after Chris said he would help him woo April had me rolling, as did his line about jamming with Eduardo. "I've got two mics, a four-track recorder and the bass tab to every Dave Matthews Band song ever. We're going to jam for, like, nine hours."

I do apologize for the P&R-jack, by the way. I probably should dig up that thread.

    What a great show.

Good God, put this thing out of its misery.

Exactly one laugh out loud line and it was Kevin: "She goes to another school!"

Jim and Pam drunk. Michael groping Holly In the office, and a tacked on Andy-Erin storyline. Blech.

It was trying so hard to be edgy, profane and failed.

    >>>Holly...has only been written into the show to get Michael out of the show.<<<

    No shit.

This mentality amazes me. I don't know details of any agreement between you and your cable provider, but you're probably free to stop watching.

I started out liking "My Name Is Earl." Then I liked it less as time went on, so I stopped watching it. Problem solved! NBC didn't have to do anything, I took care of it myself.

That's assuming there's no loyalty built to a show.

On a one-millionth scale model, it's like telling a guy whose wife just cheated on him to stop caring about heron a dime.

I loved the show and it pains me to see it languish like this. It's hard for me to stop watching, okay?

I don't need another person to tell me to turn it off any more than you need another person to tell you not to like it.

I didn't tell YOU to not like the episode. I said I thought it sucked and I gave reasons I thought it sucked. My thought that it sucked shouldn't affect your self-esteem for having liked it, d'accord?

We've all put this much time into it, we want to see how it ends. There were some stinkers in "LOST" as time went on, as well, but I had invested too much time and thought to bail at that point. Same with "The Office."

That said, "The Office" is absolutely brutal these days. I'm going to rewatch some Season 2 episodes and see if they are as great as I remembered them, or whether they were basically the same thing that's going on now, except not yet overdone.

I caught a few of the season 2 episodes in syndication recently. They were as great as you remember them.

At this point, I'm just looking forward to Michael being gone to see where they actually go with it.

And after a year, I'm still trying to figure out Gabe's purpose.

There is some scuttlebutt out there that the replacement might be Will Arnett.

The idea of Gob Bluth running "The Office" gives me some hope. And it's not implausible with Amy Poehler's show in the Thursday night lineup, as well.

The caption contest where it all ended up being about Gabe was quite funny, and as a corporate toady he's something we've all experienced. But yeah, his actual character is pretty lifeless.
