I actually came very close to actually ROLF when Pam hit the "That's what she said!" trifecta. "Dwight, get out of my nook!" is a pretty good line, too.

Andy: We could have a double wedding.
Michael: The only way we are having a double wedding is if it is with Jim and Pam.
    Jim: No.
    Michael: See, no double wedding.

Just finished catching yesterday's episode, and I'll second the thoughts--just a great all-around effort.

Steve Carell's movie career has already really taken off, but I understand what you're saying ...

Since I squeezed almost five seasons, plus the British version, of The Office into a couple of weeks, I feel so attached to some of these characters. Especially Michael. I root for him all the time, even when he says and does bonehead things.

The sales coaching call was freaking great. And the issues with Jim and Pam have to exist, or there wouldn't be anything to root for there. But if they break up, I'm going to be so pissed.

What would keep Jim from moving to NYC to join Pam?

From all accounts, he turned down Jan's job (they said he took his name out of the running, but are you telling me Ryan was a better candidate over Jim?), so one would have to think he's in corporate's good graces still. And Jim has had the itch to get out of Scranton before, so it's not like he's said he wants to remained tied down there.

Would he stay in Scranton if it means losing the love of his life who he has obsessed over for more than five years? Seems like they are trying to create a plot twist that could be solved rather easily.

If Carell ever did leave the show for movies or whatever, is there a viable replacement? Or would the series have to just shut down?

Maybe they could bring in Ricky Gervais himself as the new boss. Or Gary ("Office Space") Cole. Or John C. (same movie) McGinley. Please, though, God, not Ted McGinley.

Even someone like Jeffrey ("Arrested Development") Tambor could be good in that role.

Any other suggestions? Not that Michael Scott is going anywhere...

I love Carrell movies but this one might be a stretch:

And in this week's episode, Michael has to take a business trip to Winnipeg.

    http://www.cbc.ca/arts/tv/story/2008/10/23/office-winnipeg.html

The episode centres around Michael having an affair with the concierge at a hotel in the city.

"Michael Scott is trying to turn Winnipeg into a city of international intrigue in his mind so much that he wants this business trip to be all it's cracked up to be. We sort of imagined that Winnipeg in November was not Paris in summer, so it's a little colder and a little lonelier than he hopes," Forrester said.
